OLD SAYBROOK >> The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center and Community Music School
Launched in 2013, Kate’s Camp for Kids engages children ages 5 to 10 years old in the performing arts. Each weekly camp session features music, theater, dance and visual arts and culminates in a performance for family and friends at the end of the week.
Registration is now open for the 2014 camp sessions, which include July 14-18: Broadway Beginners “How Does Your Garden Grow?”; July 21-25: Cool Cats! Jazz and All That; July 28 to Aug. 1: Broadway Beginners “Go Fish”; Aug. 4-8: Tell Me A Tale, The Art of Storytelling.
The camp director is Nancy Thomas, a more than 20-year member of the Community Music School faculty and certified Kindermusik educator. Tuition for each camp week is $250 and scholarships are available for families with a financial need.
Kate’s Camp is supported by grants from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County/River View Cemetery Fund, The Bauman Family Foundation, The Maximilian E. and Marion O.
